23. May 2010 What a Sunday !
Alina and Scarleys Busybody  "Scarlett daughter " won on consecutive days 2 JCAC
giving her 3 CACs and making her Romanian Junior Champion, we are very proud 
and would like to thank Alina and her family for keeping the promises they made.

Her cousine "Lizzie" Black Velvet du Vallon de la Licorne won the Working Bitch Class
at the CACIB in Saarbruecken Germany, Thanks Jac for showing our " little star" she
finished 4th the week before in the intermediate class at a Working Test in France.

Busy's half brother Exchange Rate of Poet's Corner ( our German affix) won the
Champions Class also in Saarbruecken. Well done Manuella
2 further "of Poet's corner" dogs, were placed exc 3rd and exc 4th in the open bitch
and open dog classes both, Ribbons offspring.

Diego du Vallon du la Licorne won the Open class dog and went on to win CACIC and BOS
Thrilled for you Jac. What an excellent day.

CACIB in Saarbruecken Germany Monday

Black Velvet du Vallon de la Licorne won the Working Bitch Class res best bitch.

Exchange Rate of Poet's Corner ( our German affix) won the Champions Class

One of the saddest days of my life as I had to make the decision
to let Ribbons go. We fought  72hrs, following a tragic accident to save
her life, but all was in vain.The pain of losing her is unbearable.
I would like to thank all the very sincere people some of who I have
never met, that stayed up with me all night over facebook giving me
moral support. Others that phoned discussing every possibility.
I'd also like to thank Hugh that did all he could for her. 
Anja V for her support, her love and understanding.
                    
Biscuit is devastated, it breaks my heart to see her so grieve .
Her name will  live on through a gorgeous little Lab puppy that my friend Angie now has.

finished 3rd  in the puppy class at the CACIB in Nuernburg Germany, the judge was Ruen Fagerstrom  Finland . He received a lovely report.Very well done Tine

06. December 2009 Scarleys Ballancoire
finished 3rd from 8 in the puppy class at the Wettingen show in Switzerland, the judge was Mrs. Wiles.UK. Very well done Tine

13. November 2009 Scarleys Ballantrae
Won the puppy class at the Ocala Show Fl. USA. Christina and I are so proud of our little boy.

12. November 2009 An exciting week, on the 7th Nov, we eye tested all of our remaining breeding stock, all passed. Beckhams results are back from the BVA.typical Ribbons results Hips 2:3 (european A) Elbows 0:0 . Ella will be re x-rayed in ther near future, its proving to be a huge problem finding a Vet in south Ireland. Unfortunately Beckham is a real problem to photograph, there are new photos on Males and Youngster doing him no justice at all, but we will try again soon.

06. October 2009    What a weekend!!!! Lizzie (new photos)    Started the the field trial season after having her first litter with a CACT res and is now "Trialer"  very well done Daniel
At the CACIB in Metz the month before she won the "Working Class" with Jac. She is our "star".

Beckham has been x rayed - looks very good, as I am not familar with the BVA scoring we will have to wait for the results. Unfortunately Ella x ray were not of a good enough quality ( incredible what they except here). I refused to let them be sent - Beckhams were just about acceptable. I have arranged to have new ones done from Ella. (There just not used to elbows being x rayed at all here in fact the was a view missing!!!). Beckham and Ella will also be scored on the continent. To be quite honest I was disgusted at the quality and the price, twice as much as Germany.

24. September 2009   Scarleys  A Litter  1st.Birthday, I would like to thank all the owners for their care and training, as you all know we very sadly lost After Dark in a tragic accident, she is still very missed. Happy Birthday to you all !!.Beckham and Ella will be hip and elbow scored next week, so fingers crossed

05. September 2009   "Of Poet's Corner"  A- litter is 7 years old today. Probably the most important litter in my life. Through it I made some of the best friends I will ever have. Friends that have supported over years in good and in bad times. Friends that know and honour the name "Labrador Retriever".
We are so very grateful after the past 3 weeks to still have our dearly loved Ribbons. Only through the most heroic, lifesaving treatment from a Geman Vet (Hillside Vet.) and Biscuit who gave life to her a second time and the further treatment in the Cresent Clinic in Limerick.Thank you so much Lutz and Hugh, with out you both and naturally Biscuit she would never have seen her 7th Birthday. Slowly both Biscuit and Ribbons are recovering from there ordeal, but they are really tough girls and I thank God every day that we are so united. Without the bonding Ribbons would definately not be with us today, so much to giving away breeding bitches after they are retired from breeding!! I have never done it and I always knew that there was a very good reason why not to. Respect, gratefulness and the incredible bonding from the first minute of life.
Ribbons and Abigail together with their mother have produce not only produced a Ch. or a super working dog that has proved its self in every litter. They have made very many families extremly happy. I feel very honour to own you and very grateful to Gabi and Abigail to have had 2 wonderful litters and absolutly no stress having them. I wish all the A litter Labs a great day.

19. August 2009  Our Biscuit is 9years old today. She has given life during her time that she was in Breeding  This week  she is a hero. May you have many more happy years.

Last weekend Lizzie and Daniel accomplished a very good and an excellent at a two day Field Trial in the north of France and to top it all, a res. CACT. we are so proud!!
